Internal Factors of Skin Aging – How to Nourish Skin from Within?
We ourselves can do a lot to slow down the skin’s aging, starting from
within! Are you interested in how a consciously developed facial skin care
routine, along with a healthier lifestyle can make skin look younger?
Then, let’s get to it! You need to consider the following to preserve your skin’s flexibility and firmness:
Consciously consume more antioxidants! One of the main reasons skin
ages, is due to oxidative stress, that causes free radicals. The antioxidant
rich foods like berries, aronia, acerola, green teas, dark green-colored
vegetables and avocado consumption helps neutralize free radicals and protect
skin. The previously listed antioxidant sources were mentioned for a reason, since
we use a significantly large amount of them to make our skin care products,
for external purposes!
With simple steps you can stimulate our collagen and hyaluronic acid
production! As we age, the skin’s collagen and hyaluronic acid production reduces.
That is why between the ages of 30-35 years old we should start applying the
fore mentioned internal and external skin care methods. We recommend Vitamin C
rich foods (ex: citruses, medlar, paprika) to be eaten regularly, since they
support collagen synthesis. Omega-3 fatty acids (ex: flax seed, walnut) that
also contribute to hydrating and toning skin.
We know, but do we drink enough of it? Water!
Maintaining our internal hydration is a key role in preserving our skin’s
elasticity. Try to drink 2-3 Liters of clean water, which helps renew the skin
cells, however this alone is not enough.
